Firmware Engineer
SUMMARY OF JOB: To be the main contributor in the Firmware Team
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

| · To Form firmware specs, design architecture, Participate in reviews with the Team. |
| · To Design structured firmware to serve real time state machine, , closed-loop control, and monitoring and communications functions for Uninterruptible Power supply and related products. |
| · To perform timing analysis and present design results for formal review. |
| · Train and mentor associate FW engineers |
| · Firmware evaluation, system testing, Documentation |
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
| Description of Secondary Functions |
| · Provide support to other teams |
| · Interact with Electrical Engineers, Regulatory, Production Departments |
EDUCATION – MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:
- Masters / Bachelors in Electrical/electronics
EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED:
· 4 to 8 years
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1 – REQUIRED:
- 5 yrs experience writing lean code for real time or interrupt driven applications.
- Design background in Assembler and 'C' required.
- Demonstrated ability with development tools, including emulators and version control software.
- Experience developing embedded systems for power control products very desirable.
· Experience developing with serial RS-232/USB communication protocols desirable.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 2 – DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:
- Proficient in C.
- Knowledge of assembly level language.
- Knowledge of DSP code development.
- Knowledge of UPS, Power supply will be plus.
- Knowledge of digital /analog circuit designs.
