SUMMARY OF JOB: To Design, Analysis of New Circuits & Systems, be a Part of NPD & lead all activities of FMEA & WCA Analysis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Description of Essential Functions
  • To Lead the complex design and analysis of new circuits and systems, including feasibility studies. Plan and support pcb assembly design, sub-system and system level testing, release to manufacturing and quality volume objectives of product development process.
  • To Analyze customer compliance (safety, EMC), and manufacturing requirements to design, analyze, prototype, test and document new analog and digital circuits necessary to develop the new product. Select, specify, qualify and document components necessary to implement design.
  • To Lead all FMEA and WCA analysis.
  • To Analyze circuits designs using SPICE or other tools necessary to perform worse case analysis.
  • To Design and develop manufacturing test process as part of new product development activities.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

To Support product development team to release product to manufacturing and meet quality volume goals.

To Train technical support staff

To Plan and support sub-system and system design verification testing

EDUCATION – MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:

BE, ME/M.Tech., Ph.D

EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED:

Positions open for candidates with 4-15 years.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1 – REQUIRED:

  • Product Design Experience: Power Supply Design, UPS Systems, Drives,SMRs
  • Experience and strong design knowledge of PFC converters, Inverters, Devices, Gate Drive design
  • Experience in Magnetics design - Low and High Frequency Transformers, Inductors, CTs, PTs etc
  • Experience and strong design knowledge of Digital circuit design, Analog circuit design, ADC, DACs, OPamps etc
  • Knowledge of Loop design, Gain and Phase Margins, Stability analysis etc
  • Knowledge of Regulatory requirements for Power Supplies and/or UPS products

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 2 – DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:

  • Knowledge of PCB Layouts
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience using Software analysis tools (for example P-spice, Saber, Matlab, Mathcad)
  • Knowledge of Quality tools (6-Sigma, Minitab, etc)
